Korea with Anica

Anica (@kimanica) is an avid traveler and foodie. Having grown up in New York to Korean parents, she developed a love for different cuisines at a young age. Having lived in New York, Kyoto, London, Doha, Shanghai, and Seoul, Anica’s love for different cultures has continued to grow as she travels the world in search of delicious food.

Anica is extremely enthusiastic when it comes to sharing Korean food and is always making arrangements for international chefs and foodies visiting Korea.

She has traveled to all continents in search of culinary experiences and expanded her network internationally. She has contributed to Travel+Leisure and Silkroad (Cathay Dragon’s inflight magazine).

In her free time, she loves to write, roam art galleries and visit neighborhood cafes.

dubai food paradise WITH reza

It is virtually impossible for one person to intimately know everything Dubai offers. The selection is just too vast and deep.

But when I say that, I can’t include in this generalization my good friend and food compass, Reza Namazi.

Reza Namazi is an Iranian of Iranian-Iraqi heritage on his father’s side and Anglo-Indian on his mother’s. To top that off, he was born in India (he jokes that he was “made in India”).

Reza’s colorful lineage very much encompasses the multicultural spirit of Dubai where he has been a resident since the early 90’s – he has not just witnessed the stellar growth of this desert metropolis but has been an active part of it, especially on the culinary front where he has visited in excess of 2,000+ restaurants in Dubai alone.

Reza is an avid writer and restaurant reviewer (aka Xerxes The Ravenous), Reza has documented many of the restaurants he has visited in his blog and for food-related sites like Zomato where he was the #1 reviewer for many years.

SAN SEBASTIAN & SPAIN WITH GABRIELLA

Gabriella Ranelli de Aguirre is a leading expert and longtime foreign observer of Spanish and Basque cuisine and culture. A native New Yorker, Gabriella has called San Sebastian home since the 1980s, and working closely with local chefs has seen the evolution of Basque cuisine throughout its most formative decades.

She founded Tenedor Tours in 1997 as the first food & wine travel company in the Basque Country and holds a Master’s in Viticulture and Oenology.

Gabriella has appeared and collaborated on food and travel programs for the BBC, PBS, CNN, Al-Jazeera, and on Spanish and Basque television. The Wall Street Journal named her as one of the world’s top 10 food guides.

Gabriella will be our specialized guide-on-the-ground during our time in the Basque Country, taking us on a journey from A to Z in Basque grilling techniques through classic Basque bars, and up to the (Michelin) stars.
